Fikus powers ACTSpark FW machines
Metalcam has signed an agreement with ACTSpark, a leader builder of electrical discharge machines (EDM) and subsidary of the market leader +GF+ AgieCharmilles group, for the inclusion of a license of Fikus Visualcam with each purchase of a new machine of the FW series

Built following the requirements and specific needs of ACTSpark, Metalcam has built a new version of its flaship product "Fikus Visualcam for WireEDM" that, with the name "Fikus FastWire" will be supplied with every purchase of a new ACTSpark FW series machine.

Fikus FastWire has been thus specially thought for the ACTSpark FW1 and FW2 machines and incorporates the databases of the machine and a new Wizard that eases the machine programming. Very easy to use and learn, increases the quality and reduces programming time.

Fikus FastWire includes CAD capabilities, text, dimensioning and gears, 2X-contouring with conic features, no-core-cut procedures, simulation and Editor. The dedicated postprocessor is certified by ActSpark. It is fully compatible with Fikus Visualcam files.

ACTSpark FW machines

For wire cutting EDM the ACTSpark FW1 and FW2 machines offer outstanding technology, including a re-circulating wire facility, with an axis resolution of 0.001mm and a positioning accuracy of Pa 17 microns, at a really affordable price.

Maximum workpiece dimensions are 630x400x200 for the FW1 and 800x500x250 for the FW2.
