Metalcam announces the official release of Fikus Visualcam 16

Metalcam S.L. is glad to announce the new Version 16 of its flagship product Fikus Visualcam. This version provides a user-friendly and efficient CNC programming solution with a lot of enhancements for WireEDM as well as for Milling, Lathe, Millturn and NC Cutting & Routing applications.

To speed up the user productivity, the new version supports SpaceBall devices for the control of dynamic movements on screen and two new options for dynamic zoom, center the cursor or a fixed point, also used by CAD systems like SolidWorks.

Major enhancements have been implemented in the Fikus WireEDM module, that has meanwhile gained worldwide reputation: New options for handling corners. partial clearance, new Wizards for Automatic Technology Based programming, and more automatic functions.

Also, the enhancements in the Milling and Lathe technologies help to raise the productivity of the users: surface machining ten times faster than the previous version, tool technology data in accordance with stock material and machine, re-designed drill wizard with possibility to automatically create pocketing and profiling procedures, and a lot more of new features.
