Metalcam and Agie agreement to develop new AgieGeo for AgieVision CNC


METALCAM AND AGIE AGREEMENT TO DEVELOP NEW AGIEGEO FOR AGIEVISION CNC

Barcelona, April 22, 2006 Metalcam S.L., a leading developer of CAD/CAM solutions for wireEDM applications, has signed an agreement with AGIE SA. According to the agreement, Metalcam will develop the Agiegeo software to be integrated in the new version of the AgieVision CNC. Agiegeo will offer the user the possibility to create, manipulate and import geometries from other CAD systems and to generate the corresponding G-Code for the CNC. Agiegeo will be based on Fikus Visualcam, a solution designed for wireEDM applications. The software swiftly and efficiently handles every wireEDM job. By combining the high performance capabilities of Agie’s wireEDM machines with Metalcam’s leading-edge software solution, customers will significantly benefit from manufacturing quality parts, setting new standards for speed and flexibility.
